Keeping your FatCat in tiptop shape is a piece of cake with these simple checks before each ride:

  1. Ensure proper tire inflation.
  2. Check oil and fuel levels.
  3. Give the chain some love with a good cleaning and lubrication.
  4. Verify chain tension and make adjustments if needed.

For a complete guide, refer to the owner's manual and get all the details you need. And don't worry - our engines come with some fuel already in them but consider an oil change after the initial few hours of riding using the genuine Honda 10W-30 API SJ oil, available at your local Bunnings.

Before you hit the trails, some assembly tips to maximize your FatCat experience:

Safety Cautions:

  1. Route cables and brake lines carefully to avoid interference with steering. Secure the rear brake line with included cable ties to prevent catching on the front mud guard.
  2. The engine should have oil, but double-check and ignore any assembly instructions or labels suggesting to fill it.
  3. A low oil sensor prevents starting with insufficient oil or when on a lean.
  4. Adjust the throttle limiting screw under the air filter housing as desired (usually factory-set to about half throttle).
  5. Always check tire pressure before riding. The minimum recommended is 10psi, but it can vary depending on rider weight and terrain (up to 15 psi is fine).
  6.  The chain comes with an anti-rust coating but needs lubrication before use. Motorcycle chain lube is best, but gear oil or engine oil works too.
